Summary

 The Automotive Engineering Exposition 2015 was held from May 20 through 22, organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan. At the Exposition, head-up displays (HUDs) exhibited by various suppliers attracted the attention of visitors. Calsonic Kansei Corporation exhibited a cockpit module concept fitted with a HUD. Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd. displayed a 2-plane HUD. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation introduced its HUD technologies by exhibiting two HUDs equipped with laser and LCD systems, respectively. Yazaki Corporation exhibited its next-generation HUD, which is still under development.

 Automotive lamp suppliers showcased their respective, latest technologies. Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. exhibited concepts, featuring laser and OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes). Ichikoh Industries, Ltd. displayed an up-to-date headlamp system and a general-purpose LED light source unit. Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. displayed a matrix LED headlamp, which is being mounted on the Audi A7.

 Continental AG introduced a next-generation combination meter. Valeo Group displayed its next-generation camera monitoring system which replaces sideview mirrors with cameras.
