Beijing Motor Show 2012 (4): 16 international OEMs exhibit

Summary
This is the fourth report on the Beijing Motor Show 2012 (2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition: Auto China 2012), held from April 25 to May 2, 2012 (press days are April 23 and 24). In this report, we summarize the exhibition of 39 new models (including 14 new energy vehicles) by 16 Japanese, US, European, Korean, and Taiwanese OEMs (including their joint venture brands in China).
Concerning four Japanese OEMs, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Mitsubishi, we report 13 new models including five new models of new energy vehicles including three concept cars - Toyota's HV "Yundong Shuangqing", Nissan's EV under its local brand, "Venucia e-Concept" and Honda's HV "Concept S" and five global strategic gasoline vehicles including Toyota's "Dear 2box" and "Dear 3box", Nissan's "New Sylphy", and Honda's "Concept C".
With respect to US OEMs, we report three new models including GM's range extender EV "Cadillac ELR", and two new gasoline vehicles, "Ecosport" and "Kuga", which Ford will begin producing at the Chongqing plant by January 2013.
Concerning seven European OEMs - VW, Renault, Fiat, PSA, Daimler, BMW, and Volvo, we report 16 models - five new energy vehicles including "Audi A6L e-tron", which is a PHV concept car of the latest "New Audi A6L" and a first model (EV concept car) under the "Denza" brand, which is a joint venture brand between Daimler and BYD, and 11 new gasoline vehicles including the New Fiat's first production model in China, "Fiat Viaggio", and "BMW 328Li" which is a long-wheel-base model in BMW 3 series.
We also report five models of two Korean OEMs - Hyundai Motor/SsangYong Motor: and two models of Taiwan-based Yulon.
