  February 2022 sales of New Energy Vehicles in China increased 159.5% year-over year (y/y) to 256,000 units. 578,000 New Energy Vehicles were sold in the January-February period, up 129.3% over the same period last year. Passenger cars accounted for 97.5% of New Energy Vehicle sales, trucks for 1.3%, and buses for 1.2%.

  By province, sales in January-February 2022 were 80,000 units in Guangdong, up 146.3% y/y. 65,000 units were sold in the same period in Zhejiang, up 145.3% y/y, and 54,000 units were sold in Jiangsu, an increase of 180.2% y/y. By city, sales in Shanghai were 34,000 units, falling 3.9% y/y; in Shenzhen, sales were 25,000 units, an increase of 83.1% y/y; and in Hangzhou, sales were up 90.9% to 21,000 units.
