The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced the production and sales volumes of passenger cars (including sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, excluding minivans) for May 2026.
Retail
May retail sales volumes of passenger cars totaled 1.51 million units, reflecting a year-over-year (y/y) decrease of 22.1%.
New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)
In May, wholesale volumes of new energy passenger cars totaled 1.352 million units, up 10.6% y/y.
