Summary

  This report introduces the ADAS technology of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 based on Munro & Associates, Inc.’s (Munro’s) teardown survey. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a crossover SUV that uses Hyundai’s newly developed E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), a dedicated platform for electric vehicles. All models are equipped with SAE Level 2 ADAS, which is called Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2). Included in this package are Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BSCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function (SCC w/S&G), Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).
