Trump threatens EU with ‘much higher’ tariffs if no trade deal signed by July 4
On May 8, U.S. President Trump said in a Truth Social posting that he will give the European Union until July 4 to finalize ratification of its trade agreement with the U.S., and warned that tariffs “would immediately jump to much higher levels” if the bloc failed to do so.
