UAW strike in U.S. against GM threatens Canadian plants
The strike by GM's 46,000 United Auto Workers (UAW) in the U.S. may affect GM Canada’s Oshawa and St. Catharines plants, which rely on parts from the U.S. as well as supplier companies, within a week, according to Jerry Dias, national president for Unifor, the Canadian union.
