Lyft extends service into rural areas to beat Uber
On August 31, Lyft announced that it is now offering service to passengers across 40 U.S. states, including less traveled rural areas, such as parts of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Alaska.
Uber, which controls about 70% of the U.S. ride-hailing market, says it has near-statewide coverage in 13 states.
