Supply Chain: Engine (Cooling System)
Distribution of Radiator Suppliers in Europe
The European automotive radiator market is led particularly by MAHLE and Valeo, alongside other major suppliers such as Modine, Marelli, DENSO, and Hanon Systems. Major suppliers are based primarily in Germany, France, and Italy, while expanding their manufacturing networks into Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, to supply multiple OEMs such as Volkswagen Group, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Stellantis, and Renault. With the shift toward EVs, suppliers are also expanding beyond conventional engine radiators into thermal management applications, including battery cooling and power electronics cooling.
Supply chain: XPeng's X9 MPV
XPeng's flagship model, the 7-seater large-size MPV "X9," is available in both BEV and range-extended EV (REEV) configurations. It is an SDV that incorporates the "SEPA" smart car technology. It is the first model to feature the AI-powered smart cockpit "Tianji XOS." It utilizes an 800V electrical system. The BEV is available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) with a maximum output of 235 kW and all-wheel-drive (AWD) with 370 kW. The driving range is up to 750 km for FWD and 710 km for AWD (CLTC). The REEV has a maximum output of 210 kW, with an EV range of 452 km. It will be produced at Xpeng's Guangzhou plant.
In addition to China, it will be sold in Europe, ASEAN, and New Zealand, with plans to launch in Australia as well. Global sales from January to June 2026 totaled 19,000 units, of which 17,000 were sold in China. The company manufactures key components in-house, such as e-Axles and traction motors, and sources drive battery cells from CALB and EVE Power. It uses major Chinese suppliers such as Inovance for inverters and Tianma for displays, while also sourcing from global leaders such as Autoliv for steering wheels and Bosch for ABS.
