Toyota's all-new Hilux Mild hybrid 48V

Since the 2020s, the adoption of mild hybrid systems in pickup trucks has expanded, enabling improved fuel efficiency without compromising off-road performance. Toyota has marketed the 48V mild hybrid Hilux in Europe since 2024.

Supply chain: Isuzu D-MAX (Thailand)
The D-Max, manufactured and sold by Isuzu Motors in Thailand, is a 1-metric-ton-class pickup truck primarily sold in Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe. A BEV model was also launched in March 2026.
For ADAS components, Japanese manufacturers play a central role, with Furukawa Automotive Systems supplying blind spot sensors, Mitsubishi Electric (Thailand) supplying parking assist ECUs, Astemo supplying stereo cameras, and Clarion (Thailand) supplying rear cameras. Meanwhile, exterior mirrors with blind spot indicators are supplied by AMPAS Auto Mirror, a subsidiary of the Thai-owned Ampas Industries. For powertrain components, MAHLE (Thailand) supplies pistons, while Schaeffler and NSK supply bearings; for electrical components, Tokai Rika (Thailand) and Valeo (Thailand) supply various switches.
