Supply chain: BYD Sealion 7

BYD's Sealion 7 EV is a D-segment crossover electric SUV. Sales in Europe began in November 2024 (it launched in Japan in April 2025).

It is manufactured at BYD's Changzhou plant in Jiangsu Province, China. It is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with a maximum system output of 390 kW and maximum torque of 610 Nm. The e-Axle, inverter, and wiper system are manufactured in-house, while seat belts and interior mirrors are supplied by BYD subsidiary FinDreams, and SiC modules for inverter is supplied by another subsidiary, BYD Semiconductor. In terms of advanced features, the intelligent driver assistance system is supplied by Zhuoyu Technology (formerly DJI Automotive), LiDAR by RoboSense Technology, window glass by Fuyao, seats by Lear (China), and tires by Michelin (China), among others.

Mutual OEM supply between Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced on June 10 that it will begin sales of the all-new Eclipse Sportback in the U.S. and Canada in the second half of 2026. The Eclipse Sportback is an electric subcompact SUV supplied by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. on an OEM basis. Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors are leveraging the strengths of their alliance to expand their model lineups through mutual OEM supply.
