The Subaru Ascent is a D-segment, three-row SUV designed for the North American market. It has been produced at the factory in Indiana, U.S., since 2018. It is Subaru's largest SUV, and the company is considering introducing it to the Japanese market in the second half of 2026. The powertrain features a 2.4L horizontally opposed 4-cylinder direct-injection turbo engine. The latest generation of EyeSight is standard equipment starting with the 2024 model year. For electrical components, Denso (U.S. operations) supplies the instrument cluster, rear HVAC, and smart key. Engine ECU is supplied by Astemo (U.S. operations), while transmission ECU is supplied by Mitsubishi Electric (U.S. operations). Higher trim levels will be equipped with a driver monitoring system (Mitsubishi Electric) and seat memory ECU (Tokai Rika).
