Supply chain: SUBARU Forester details
The new SUBARU Forester (6th generation) launched in April 2025 and are available in a 2.5L strong hybrid (S:HEV) and a 1.8L turbo gasoline model. The "Eyesight" driver assistance system has been upgraded (with an expanded camera field of view, the addition of a front radar, and 360-degree cameras on some models). The S:HEV model integrates Toyota's hybrid system with SUBARU's horizontally opposed (BOXER) engine and Symmetrical AWD (all-wheel drive) technology. For vehicles produced in Japan, exhaust system components such as mufflers and fuel system parts are sourced from Sakamoto Industry, while interior plastic parts—including door trim and instrument panels—are supplied by Shigeru. Various motors are supplied by Mitsuba, connecting rods by Sanjo Machine Works, ignition coils by Diamond & Zebra Electric, and shock absorbers by Astemo. The company also utilizes overseas suppliers, such as Autoliv for airbags and seat belts, and Aumovio for blind spot monitor sensors.
