Shipments to the U.S. slow amid tariff impacts, driving plant restructuring as U.S. export dynamics shift. Domestic sales growth has slowed while demand for affordable vehicles increases. Electrified vehicle sales continue to grow, driven primarily by HEVs. GlobalData Sales Forecast indicates Mexico's market remains stable at around 1.6 million units as Chinese brands expand their market share.

The Tata Tiago.ev is a Segment A BEV that has been on sale since January 2023. With a starting price of approximately 699,000 rupees (about 1.2 million yen), it has earned high praise as an entry-level BEV in the Indian market. For its electrification components, the vehicle sources the drive battery from group company Tata AutoComp Systems, the 3-in-1 onboard charger (DC-DC converter and PDU integrated) from Valeo India, and the reducer from Indian manufacturer Divgi TorqTransfer Systems. Furthermore, while body panel components are typically produced in-house by the OEM to a high degree, stamped parts such as the B-pillar and inner sills are sourced from the Indian manufacturer Caparo Engineering.
