On April 24, JBM Electric Vehicles showcased its zero-emission luxury coach ‘GALAXY’ and electric citybus ‘ECOLIFE’ at the Bus2Bus 2024 in Berlin. Bus2Bus, Berlin is a platform for showcasing advancements in the intercity transportation domain. JBM has been working on an EV ecosystem ‘JBM E-Verse’ that integrates electric vehicles, battery technology, power infrastructure, fast charging infrastructure, and power electronics. JBM EV can manufacture over 20,000 buses annually.
The buses have lightweight monocoque stainless steel body structures and art features such as intelligent transport systems compliant with EU norms and advanced telematics.
It comes with advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) technology and safety measures, including the advanced electronic braking system (AEBS), forward vehicle collision warning systems (FVCWS), lane departure warning system, pedestrian and cyclist collision warning (MOIS), blind spot detection, protection against cyber-attacks, intelligent speed assistance, alcohol interlock installation support, driver drowsiness and attention warnings, advance driver distraction warnings, fire detection & suppression system (FDSS), as well as 360-degree cameras.

On May 2, Vayve Mobility unveiled an exclusive driving video showcasing its all-new solar-electric taxi, the CT5. The video highlighted the solar rooftop of the purpose-built city taxi, boasting a range of 330 km. Its key features include consecutive fast charging, capable of running over 4,000 km/year on solar power, a spacious cabin with 500 liters of boot space, a 220 V socket, digital instrument cluster, connected car features, enhanced fleet management with remote asset monitoring, LED advertisement panel, and exterior camera recording.
The company's in-house development capability enabled it to evolve the vehicle from concept to functional prototype. It also has various partnerships, including Autodesk for software solutions, Karman Studios for designing, Waaree Group for solar technology, and Zylog ElastoComp for body panels.

On May 2, Force Motors revealed the prices of its all-new 5-door and 3-door 2024 Gurkha SUV which was showcased a few days back. The price of the 3-door variant (4-seater) is INR 1.67 million and INR 1.80 million for the 5-door (7-seater) variant (exclusive of TCS). Accessories, Road tax, registration, and insurance charges will be payable extra as applicable. The dispatches to Gurkha dealers will commence this week and the test drives/deliveries to customers shall commence in mid-May onwards.
The 2024 Gurkha SUV is now powered by a 2.6 liter turbocharged inter-cooled diesel engine delivering 140 PS and a peak torque of 320 Nm over a wide band from 1,400 to 2,600 rpm
