-Chinese privately-owned automotive components manufacturer. Its main business includes the development, production and sales of automotive braking systems, electronic control systems, automated driving systems, in-wheel motors and chassis-by-wire systems.

-Manufactures disc brakes, drum brakes, vacuum boosters, brake master cylinders, wheel cylinders, clutch master cylinders, slave cylinders, and other products for automobiles.

-In the automotive electronic control systems area, the Company manufactures ABS (anti-lock braking system), electronic stability control (ESC), regenerative hydraulic anti-lock brake system (EABS), electronic parking brake (EPB), electric brake boosters (iBooster), and integrated electro-hydraulic braking systems (IEHB).

-In the field of connected and New Energy Vehicles, the Company has developed 77GHz millimeter-wave radar, visual systems (including controllers), and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). 

-For New Energy Vehicles, the Company provides unit or system products such as in-wheel motors for new energy vehicles, inverter speed control modules, and central controller PCUs.

-The Company's customers include Chinese and non-Chinese OEMs and its products are exported to North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and other countries and regions. Platform products are supplied to VW, GM, Honda, Nissan, PSA and other OEMs.

History

1976 Shiyan Renmin Commune Automobile Brake Factory was established.
1978 Shiyan Renmin Commune Automobile Brake Factory changed its name into Xiaoshan Shiyan Commune Automobile Brake Factory.
1980 Xiaoshan Shiyan Commune Automobile Brake Factory changed its name into Xiaoshan Automotive Brake Factory.
May 1994 The Company established Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Machine & Electric Group Limited as part of its reorganization project.
2000 The Group took on the form of a stock company and adopted a new name, Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd.
Sep. 2002 Established Asia-Pacific Automobile Chassis Co., Ltd. in Wuhu City, Anhui province.
July 2003 Established Hangzhou APG-FTE Automotive Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture with FTE Automotive GmbH of Germany.
Apr. 2004 Established the Hangzhou APG-TBK Brake System Co., Ltd. joint venture with TBK Co., Ltd.
2005 Established Hangzhou Keunil Enpla Automotive Co., Ltd. through a 50-50 joint venture with a Korean plastics manufacturer, Keunil Enpla Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2007 The Company and Beijing Automotive Industry established a joint-venture company, Beijing Yatai Automobile Chassis System Co., Ltd. to manufacture brake systems and chassis modules.
Aug. 2009 The Company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

May 2014 Established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangde Asia-Pacific Foundry Co., Ltd. in Guangde County, Anhui Province.
Dec. 2014 The Company's subsidiary Hangzhou TBK-APG Brakes Co., Ltd. completed the deregistration procedures for foreign-invested corporations.
July 2015 The Company's subsidiary Zhengzhou Asia-Pacific Chassis Parts Co., Ltd. completed the deregistration procedures.
Aug. 2015 The Company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai ZA Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. in the city of Shanghai.
Feb. 2016 The Company deregistered Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd. Wuhan Branch.
