Qualcomm is a world leader in 3G, 4G and next-generation wireless technologies. On February 2018, the Company entered into a Purchase Agreement with Qualcomm revised its tender offer to acquire all of the Company’s outstanding common shares. The resulting entity is expected to have annual revenues of more than USD 30 billion, serviceable addressable markets of USD 138 billion in 2020 and leadership positions across mobile, automotive, IoT, security, RF and networking. As of May 2018, the acquisition has not yet closed.
-In March 2015, the Company entered into a definitive agreement under which it would merge with Freescale Semiconductor Ltd. The merger was consummated on December 7, 2015. As a result, Freescale's results of operations are included in NXP's Consolidated Statements of Operations for the period of December 7, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
