Business Overview

In December 2016, the Company completed the acquisition of the Mechatronics Projects of Delphi (Aptiv), re-establishing  the new company as Merit Automotive Electronics Systems Co., Ltd.

History

1956 Jilin Dongguang Group Co., Ltd., the Company's predecessor, was established.
1989 Jilin Dongguang Aowei Automotive Brake System Co., Ltd. and Jilin Koito Dongguang Automotive Lamp Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiaries, were established.
1992 Changchun Yidong Clutch Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
1995 Shandong Pengxiang Automobile Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
1996 Jilin GKN Norinco Drive Shaft Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
1998 Jilin Dongguang Precision Machinery Factory, the Company's subsidiary, was established.
May 1998 Changchun Yidong Clutch Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was listed on Shanghai Exchange Stock.
Apr. 2000

Changchun Yidong Clutch Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, established ShenyangYidong Four Rings Clutch Co., Ltd. with Shengyang Friction Sealing Material Factory to manufacture clutches and related products.

2002 Changchun Yidong Clutch Technology Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
Sep. 2004 Changchun Yidong Clutch Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, established Changchun Yidong Automobile Component jointly with Dongjin Semichem Co., Ltd. of Korea to manufacture Cab tilting systems.
Oct. 2004 Changchun Yidong Clutch, the Company's subsidiary, established Changchun Yidong Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Jinlin Dongguang Group Co., Ltd.
2009 Jilin Dongguang Youcheng Machine Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established. 
2011 Baicheng Zhongyi Precision Forging Connecting Rod Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
Sep. 2011 According to China North Industries Group Corporation, Norinco Group's regional industrial restructure strategic requirements, the Company was formed by Jilin Dongguang Group Co., Ltd. and Jilin Jiangbei Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
2013 Chengdu Dongguang Aowei Brake System Co., Ltd., Kaifeng Dongguang Aowei Chassis System Co., Ltd. and Jilin Kaide Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiaries, were established.
2014 Chengdu Dongguang Zhongyi Precision Co., Ltd., the Company's subsidiary, was established.
Jul. 2015

The Company completed acquisition of Delphi's receivers system business at USD 25 million. After the transaction, the business was registered as FUBA Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., in Germany.

Jan. 2017

The company acquired the Delphi Mechatronics project and established a new company - Merit Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd.
