Pass the Test

-Recently, the Company has passed Chery Automobile’s audit for TII and A13 products, master cylinders production line and master cylinder assembly line process. (From a press release, May 10, 2013)

-Jilin Dongguang Aowei Brake System Co., Ltd. was qualified as a B-class supplier of VW China after passing a series of screening conducted by the automaker. Jilin Dongguang Aowei Brake System will supply vacuum booster assemblies integrated with master cylinders and reservoir tanks to Volkswagen’s plants in Brazil. Screening was conducted in areas including customer and supplier information management, material inventory control, production efficiency, and customer services related to the program based on the VW Formel-Q and VDA6.3 systems. Jilin Dongguang Aowei Brake System expects that gaining the B-class supplier title will open up new business opportunities with the global automaker. (From a press release, May 24, 2012)

2011 Finacial Overview

- Jilin Automobile Brake Factory adopted a new corporate name, Jilin Dongguang Aowei Brake System Co., Ltd., effective December 2011. The company with total assets of 420 million yen and 1,300 employees is capable of producing 3.2 million brakes a year. In 2011, it generated 1 billion yuan in sales, while stepping up its technological development activities. It applied for 2 patents for invention and 12 for utility models. In addition, it won exclusive development rights to engineer products for a French automaker’s platform as well as products for General Motors India, thus entering into the luxury vehicle segment. Despite slowing sales of passenger vehicles in China, the company continued to achieve high growth ratio, recording a 33 percent increase in sales from the previous year. R&D Activities

Domestic Investment

-The Company has established Chengdu Dongguang Aowei Brake System Co., Ltd., a new subsidiary in Chengdu, in May 2013. The company will invest CNY 75 million to construct a 15,032-square-meter plant on a 58,000-square-meter plot. The subsidiary will purchase 40 pieces of new equipment, which will be used on assembly lines for master cylinders and vacuum boosters, a painting line, and a stamping line. These lines are expected to be completed and begin operations in 2014 to produce 500,000 sets of master cylinder and vacuum booster assemblies per year. -On June 10, 2011, Jilin Automobile Brake Factory held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new plant at the Kaifeng Auto Parts Industrial Park in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. The company is investing 105,170,000 yuan in the new facility, which has a land area of 31,000 square meters. The facility will manufacture axles, brakes, boosters, and caliper housings for Chery Automobile, Zhengzhou Nissan, Haima (Zhengzhou) Automobile and other automakers. -The Company will establish a new plant at the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone (CETDZ) in Sichuan Province. The facility will develop and manufacture automotive parts for FAW-VW, which is currently constructing a new production base in Chengdu.
