2005	The Company was created in 2005 as a spin-off from aluminum producer Alcan Inc.
May 2007	The Company was acquired by Hindalco Industries Limited, another veteran of the aluminum business.
May 2013	Signed a cooperation agreement with ThyssenKrupp Tailored Blanks for the development of tailored aluminum blanks.
May 2013	The company Europe has qualified its rolling and finishing facility in Gottingen, Germany to produce automotive aluminum sheet.
Jul. 2013	Announced the opening of its expanded aluminum rolling operations in Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Oct. 2013	Completed two-year, USD 400 million expansion program in South Korea.
Oct. 2013	Commissioned USD 200 million expansion of its rolling operations in Oswego, New York, U.S.
Dec. 2013	Announced investment of an additional USD 205 million to further expand global manufacturing operations serving the automotive market in U.S. and Germany.

Feb. 2018	Signed binding agreement to acquire operating facilities and manufacturing assets at its Sierre plant that have historically been leased. The EUR 200 million acquisition from Constellium is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2019.
Apr. 2020	Completed acquisition of Aleris Corporation, a global supplier of rolled aluminum products, for approximately USD 2.8 billion.
Jan. 2021	The Company and Constellium launched Alumobility, a non-profit organization focused on providing innovative implementation-ready solutions to advance the adoption of aluminum automotive body sheet.
