History

1925 Nippon Air Brake Co., Ltd. was established in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
1934 Became the first company to succeed in producing automobile oil brakes in Japan. Started manufacturing and selling oil brakes.
1937 Began producing and selling air brake systems for commercial vehicles.
1960 Established the Yokosuka Plant in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.
1961 Established the Automobile Department.
1968 Established the Konan Plant in Higashinada-ku, Kobe.
1972 The Company succeeded in developing the first automotive air dryer in Japan.
1984 Established Nippon ABS Co., Ltd. through a merger with Germany-based Robert Bosch GmbH.
1991 Established the Yamagata Plant in Murayama, Yamagata Prefecture.
1992 Started operations at the Yamagata test course.
Adopted a new company name, Nabco Ltd.
1993 Established Nabco Mexicana S.A. de C.V. in Mexico.
1997 The Konan Plant discontinued production of auto parts. The operations were integrated into the Yokosuka Plant and the Yamagata Plant.
1998 Launched business in seating sensors for passenger vehicles.
1999 Transferred the oil brake business and the Yokosuka Plant's operations to Bosch Braking Systems Co., Ltd. (currently called Bosch Corp.)
Sold off the shares of stock it had in Nippon ABS Co,. Ltd. to Bosch.
2002 Transferred its commercial vehicle ABS business to Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems Japan Ltd.
2003 Established Nabtesco Automotive Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (NAPT) in Thailand. Established Nabtesco Corporation jointly with Nabco Ltd. and Teijin Seiki Co., Ltd. Nabco became a 100 percent subsidiary.
2004 Nabtesco Corporation absorbed Nabco Ltd. The corresponding division was named the Automotive Company.
Dec. 2009 Nabtesco Corporation established Nabtesco Automotive Corporation as its wholly owned subsidiary.
Mar. 2010 Business at the Automotive Company was transferred to Nabtesco Automotive Corporation, whereby operations started.
Feb. 2013 Established Minda Nabtesco Automotive Pvt. Ltd. in Haryana, India. jointly with Minda.
Nov. 2014 Nabtesco Automotive Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. established a new plant in Samutprakarn, and moved to the new facility.
May 2016 Established Nabtesco ITG GmbH in Sachsen, Germany. 
Mar. 2017 Acquired Ovalo GmbH (Germany).
May 2017 Established Nabtesco Europe GmbH (Germany).
Nov. 2021 Established Nabtesco Automotive (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.  in China.
Apr. 2022 Moved from the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to the Prime Market due to TSE’s reorganization.
