Nov. 1944 | Fuji Kiko was originally established under the name Fuji Heiki Co., Ltd. (location at Washizu Factory of Fuji Textile & Spinning Co., Ltd.) with 15 million yen in initial capital to manufacture artillery shells for the Toyokawa Naval Plant. |
Oct. 1945 | Changed the name of company to Fuji Kiko Co., Ltd., and also changed its business to the manufacture, process, repair, and sales of machinery and equipment for the textile industry. (Gradually shifted to automotive parts to meet market demand.) |
Apr. 1954 | Started business with Nissan by producing automotive parts. |
Mar. 1966 | Listed on the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange. |
Nov. 1977 | Constructed the Arai Plant in Hamana-gun, Shizuoka Pref., launching operations. |

Oct. 2002 | Established a joint-venture company Fuji Koyo Czech s.r.o. (in the Czech Republic, with Fuji Kiko holding 66.60% of shares) with Koyo Steering Europe S.A.S. (of France, a fully owned subsidiary of Koyo Seiko Co., Ltd.). |
Mar. 2004 | Established Fuji Autotech USA LLC (FKU holds 66.00%) jointly with FKU and Tachi-S Engineering USA Inc. (Tachi-S's fully owned subsidiary in USA). |
Jul. 2004 | Acquired shares in Faurecia Systems (which it then converted to Fuji Autotech France S.A.S.), which was a subsidiary of Faurecia S.A. (France) . Its home office and development/manufacturing facility is located in France (Beaulieu). Faurecia Systems became one of the Company's subsidiaries when the Company ended up acquiring 79% of the shares capital). |
Jan. 2005 | Established Fuji Autotech Guangzhou Co., Ltd. (China), contributing 51% of the capital. |
Apr. 2005 | Established Fujikiko Kurata Corporatio, contributing 80% of the capital. |
Mar. 2006 | The Company shifted the function of its French based subsidiary, Fuji Autotech Europe S.A.A. (referred to FAS) to its European headquarters. It will also integrate its European production facilities, aiming to expand its business activities. The following business transactions were conducted: 1. The Company transferred its equity in Fuji Koyo Czech s.r.o and Fuji Autotech France to FAE. 2. Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. (currently JTEKT India Ltd.) also transferred its equity in Fuji Autotech France to FAE. 3. FAE allocated share capital to the Company and Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. in the amount equivalent to what these two companies transferred. FAE became a holding company of Fuji Koyo Czech s.r.o. and Autotech France S.A.S. (The Company owned a 84.13% share). |
Aug. 2006 | Established a subsidiary, Summit Fujikiko Kurata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Thailand), contributing 51% of the capital. |
July, 2007 | The Company made Guanhzhou Changfu Machinery Co., Ltd. its subsidiary. Guanhzhou Changfu Machinery Co., Ltd. was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Joyu-Fuji Machinery Co., Ltd in April 2006. Joyu-Fuji Machinery Co., Ltd transferred 51% of stocks to the Company. |
Mar. 2008 | Absorbed its subsidiary, Wakaizumi Fuji Kiko Co., Ltd. |
