Business Overview

-The Company is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers in steel and aluminum forged and machined parts. In 2019, the Company produced approximately 360,500 tons of forged parts.

-Announced that on the basis of ongoing and newly gained serial production orders, Hirschvogel will become the world’s largest manufacturer of hollow rotor shafts for passenger car applications. On offer are hot, warm and cold forging, the use of swaging technology in various temperature ranges, a large selection of machining processes as well as heat treatment and hard machining operations. Upon request, these services can be completed with assembly operations. Hirschvogel Automotive Group has been working extensively for a number of years on the development of future parts for electric drives. A particular focus is on the rotor shaft, which forms the heart of the electric motor or hybrid system. -Announced that it inaugurated a USD 30 million production facility in San Juan del Rio, Mexico. The company began the first stage of operations in 2017 with production of machined powertrain components and has since started production of forged chassis parts. The current workforce of 100 employees is expected to expand to 250 employees by the end of 2019. The 21,000-square-meter production plant is expected to finish its first full year of operations with a production volume of 1.5 million parts, which will increase to 5 million when the facility becomes fully operational in 2019. Hirschvogel supplies parts for Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz elsewhere and is expected to do so in Mexico. (From a Mexico-Now article on April 11, 2018)

2015 An additional machining hall will go into production at the Hirschvogel plant in Pinghu, China.
Jul. 2016 Founded Hirschvogel Components Mexico S.A. de C.V. to set up a new plant in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico.
