New Company

-The Company announced on February 13, 2018, a plan to set up a new company, Faway Benteler Automobile Components (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., jointly with Benteler Automotive (China) Investment Limited. The joint company is going to be a strategic partner of FAW Group and help the car manufacturer develop solutions to make lighter vehicles including high-strength steel, thermoforming, and aluminum alloy. The new company is going to have a registered capital of Chinese yuan (CNY) 120 million, CNY 90 million or 75% from Changchun Faway Automobile Components and CNY 30 million or 25% from Benteler Automotive (China) Investment. It requires a total of CNY 180 million to construct a new plant, which is slated to start operating fully in 2021. At full operation, it’s expected to generate sales of CNY 366.73 million and a pre-tax profit of CNY 26.96 million a year. (From a corporate announcement on February 14, 2018)
