R&D Activities

(Car electronics)
- The Company commercialized its Thermo String, which is a small, high-precision lead thermistor that can sense and detect temperatures. The Thermo String uses the Company's  Chip Posistor or a chip NTC thermistor as the detector element. The special feature of the Thermo String is its ability to detect overheating in secondary batteries (used in HEVs) and other electric equipment, which are now smaller and more densely mounted.

-The Company invested 12,947 million yen to expand its production facilities and rationalize its and its affiliated companies' business operations. It spent 3,710 million yen to enhance its R&D facilities and 1.838 million yen to acquire land and buildings. 

-The Company did not dispose of any major equipment having a significant impact on the Company's production capacity.
