Business plan
-The Company announced that it produced its 1 millionth dual clutch transmission (DCT) on January 19, 2017. The company has been manufacturing 7-speed DCT at its Seosan Plant in Korea since August 2014. These DCTs are used on models including the Tucson, Sonata, and Ioniq from Hyundai Motor, as well as the Sportage, K5, and Niro from Kia Motors. Hyundai Dymos plans to increase its annual DCT capacity to 1.38 million units by 2020 through strengthening its global production capacity. (From a press release on January 20, 2017)
Business Partnership
-Dayou A-Tech Co., Ltd. has signed a contract to supply seat assemblies to the Company. The seat assemblies will be used in the next generation of the Soul subcompact car built by Kia Motors. Dayou A-Tech is a seat supplier based in Gwangju City, Korea. (From a press release on February 21, 2017)
Recent Development Outside Korea
-In October 2016, the Company began producing seats at its new plant in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, China. The plant will supply 220,000 sets of seats per year for the successor to the Hyundai Verna. It will also supply seats for 80,000 Tucson vehicles per year, starting in 2017. (From a press release on October 26, 2016)
