Fully plastic oil module, incorporating a cooler, crankcase ventilation system, sensors, regulating valves, metal-free oil filter and a drain system.
Symposer
Developed by DaimlerChrysler, Ford and the Company.
Mass-production will commence in the ST sports version of the European Ford Focus with a 2.5 litre, 5 cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine.
The symposer, a cube 6 cm x 5cm x 4cm in size, is made up of four chambers. A moveable flap separates the two chambers on the engine side from the two chambers on the outlet side. The pulsations generated by the engine meet the pivoted flap, producing oscillation of the spring-mass system which is then transferred to the outlet chambers. The pulsations are transmitted by means of a sound pipe through the partition wall into the passenger compartment, thus creating the desired charge-dependent feedback.

Air intake module with EGR system
This system, made of plastic that is easy to form, was made much lighter than previous systems. It also has superior properties in terms of corrosion-protection against sulfur oxide emitted in EGR process. The polyamide material, co-jointly developed with Audi, can withstand very high temperatures, over 200 degrees, for long periods of time. The module consists of an EGR valve, EGR cooler, regulation valve, and flange with swirl & tumble control unit.

Oil Filter Module BMW
Compact housing oil module for the BMW 3 Series 6-cylinder petrol engine
The water-cooled oil filter and filter are integrated into this single unit housing. It was made more compact by adapting the plastic cover to the engine design. Since the filter element is made of metal and not plastic, it can be incinerated.
Air Cleaner System
Air Cleaner System with hydrocarbon trap (pleatsorb)
The HC trap consists of activated carbon layers held in place between air-permeable supporting media. This design provides a large, effective surface area and reduces pressure losses through the special arrangement of pleats. Installed in DaimlerChrysler vehicles.

Air intake system for the 4-cylinder petrol engine containing an integrated dirty air intake and resonator, intake noise silencer, and clean air intake.
A round filter cartridge is directly attached to the hot film airflow meter (AFT). The filter holder for the element on the rear end cap is pressed between the upper and lower parts of the housing and keeps the element in place. Installed in BMW 1 series.
