Established the Anjo Technology Center
The Anjo Technology Center was established in May 2001 in Anjo-shi, Aichi for R&D purposes.

-It analyzes market needs and trends and relays this information to the Company's locations around the world.
-It aims to develop environmentally friendly, highly functional, high-density and high-quality products.

Joint Ventures

March 2001 The Company established Inoac Tokai in Thailand, as the result of a joint venture with Tokai Rubber. The J/V began operations with capital of 120 million yen (the Company 40%, Tokai 34%, a local investor 26%). Tokai Rubber introduced vehicle hose technology to the Company's existing water and fuel hose factory. This will be the Company's production base for vehicle hoses in ASEAN.
March 2001 The Company established a 50-50 joint venture, Inorec Japan, with Belgium's Recticel to produce interior trim for vehicles.
Recticel has polyurethane skin molding technology and produces interior trim, which it supplies to Japanese vehicle manufacturers.
