Italian car sales decrease 7.4% in October
On November 2, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 146,655 units in October decreased 7.4% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 16.2% in October with a 23.8% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales decreased 4.3% with a 76.2% market share.
In October, Fiat brand registrations decreased 20.7% (15.4% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 5.1% (8.4% share), Ford registrations increased 4.1% (7.2% share), Peugeot registrations decreased 2.5% (6.1% share), Opel registrations decreased 4.7% (5.5% share), and Toyota registrations increased 5.3% (5.4% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in October, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Lancia Ypsilon, Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio, and Citroen C3.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in October decreased 27.0% (44.0% share), gasoline-powered car sales increased 22.5% (41.7% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 29.7% (5.9% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 149.8% (0.4% share).
Private car sales in October increased 3.6% to 96,484 units (65.3% share), fleet sales decreased 16.6% to 24,880 units (16.8% share), and business sales decreased 29.7% to 26,389 units (17.9% share).

Italian car sales decrease 25.4% in September
On October 1, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 124,976 units in September decreased 25.4% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 39.8% in September with a 22.8% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales decreased 19.7% with a 77.2% market share.
In September, Fiat brand registrations decreased 43.2% (15.0% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations decreased 29.7% (7.8% share), Ford registrations decreased 9.6% (7.3% share), Peugeot registrations decreased 6.4% (6.3% share), Toyota registrations increased 5.2% (5.9% share), and Opel registrations decreased 15.1% (5.6% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in September, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Lancia Ypsilon, Volkswagen T-Roc, Fiat 500, and Toyota Yaris Hybrid.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in September decreased 38.3% (47.9% share), gasoline-powered car sales decreased 6.3% (38.7% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 28.2% (6.1% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 168.7% (0.4% share).
Private car sales in September decreased 16.3% to 75,420 units (59.9% share), fleet sales decreased 38.0% to 20,865 units (16.6% share), and business sales decreased 34.5% to 29,678 units (23.6% share).

Italian car sales increase 9.5% in August
On September 3, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 91,551 units in August increased 9.5% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales increased 2.9% in August with a 27.2% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales increased 12.1% with a 72.8% market share.
In August, Fiat brand registrations decreased 15.2% (15.5% market share), Renault registrations increased 74.1% (10.5% share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 10.3% (7.2% share), Ford registrations increased 13.9% (6.6% share), Jeep brand registrations increased 137.8% (6.2% share), and Peugeot registrations increased 7.8% (5.3% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in August, in order of popularity, were the Renault Clio, Fiat Panda, Jeep Compass, Fiat 500X, and Fiat Tipo.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in August increased 6.2% (56.1% share), gasoline-powered car sales increased 7.7% (29.1% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 38.9% (4.5% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 93.9% (0.2% share).
Private car sales in August increased 5.8% to 52,363 units (56.7% share), fleet sales increased 31.3% to 17,794 units (19.3% share), and business sales increased 3.2% to 22,188 units (24.0% share).

Italian car sales increase 4.4% in July
On August 1, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 152,393 units in July increased 4.4% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales increased 3.7% in July with a 28.0% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales increased 4.7% with a 72.0% market share.
In July, Fiat brand registrations decreased 10.1% (17.4% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 35.9% (8.5% share), Renault registrations increased 38.2% (7.3% share), Ford registrations decreased 3.8% (6.4% share), Peugeot registrations decreased 5.1% (5.2% share), and Opel registrations decreased 4.2% (4.7% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in July, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Fiat 500X, Renault Clio, Fiat Tipo, and Jeep Compass.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in July decreased 5.2% (51.0% share), gasoline-powered car sales increased 11.3% (33.1% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 47.0% (5.2% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 342.1% (0.4% share).
Private car sales in July increased 1.5% to 87,384 units (56.9% share), fleet sales increased 13.3% to 27,158 units (17.7% share), and business sales increased 4.6% to 38,905 units (25.4% share).

Italian car sales decrease 7.3% in June
On July 2, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 174,702 units in June decreased 7.3% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 19.0% in June with a 25.1% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales decreased 2.5% with a 74.9% market share.
In June, Fiat brand registrations decreased 30.6% (16.0% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 21.0% (9.2% share), Renault registrations decreased 7.7% (7.6% share), Ford registrations decreased 6.1% (6.6% share), Opel registrations decreased 0.1% (5.1% share), and Peugeot registrations increased 9.3% (5.1% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in June, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Fiat 500X, Renault Clio, Lancia Ypsilon, and Jeep Renegade.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in June decreased 17.0% (52.8% share), gasoline-powered car sales increased 3.5% (33.1% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 24.8% (4.5% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 125.6% (0.3% share).
Private car sales in June decreased 0.5% to 97,381 units (55.4% share), fleet sales decreased 11.0% to 40,163 units (22.8% share), and business sales decreased 18.6% to 38,241 units (21.8% share).

Domestic brand sales decreased 8.0% in May with a 27.9% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales decreased 0.6% with a 72.1% market share.
In May, Fiat brand registrations decreased 22.8% (17.7% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 20.0% (9.0% share), Renault registrations increased 4.8% (7.6% share), Ford registrations decreased 8.0% (6.4% share), Peugeot registrations decreased 1.5% (5.2% share), and Opel registrations decreased 4.2% (5.1% share) from a year ago.

Italian car sales increase 6.5% in April
On May 2, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 171,379 units in April increased 6.5% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 2.0% in April with a 27.0% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales increased 10.0% with a 73.0% market share.
In April, Fiat brand registrations decreased 12.2% (17.3% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 29.5% (8.4% share), Renault registrations increased 0.6% (7.2% share), Ford registrations increased 7.2% (6.9% share), Peugeot registrations increased 14.8% (5.6% share), and Opel registrations increased 2.1% (4.8% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in April, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Renault Clio, Fiat 500X, Lancia Ypsilon, and Fiat 500.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in April decreased 3.7% (52.8% share), gasoline-powered car sales increased 16.2% (34.3% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 53.0% (4.2% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 96.0% (0.1% share).
Private car sales in April increased 5.4% to 91,985 units (53.4% share), fleet sales increased 11.8% to 46,259 units (26.9% share), and business sales increased 2.3% to 33,937 units (19.7% share).

Italian car sales decrease 5.8% in March
The Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 213,731 units in March decreased 5.8% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 12.9% in March with a 28.0% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales decreased 2.7% with a 72.0% market share.
In March, Fiat brand registrations decreased 20.3% (18.8% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 9.0% (8.5% share), Ford registrations decreased 8.6% (7.3% share), Renault registrations decreased 16.3% (6.5% share), Peugeot registrations decreased 0.4% (5.4% share), and Opel registrations decreased 9.8% (5.2% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in March, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Fiat 500X, Fiat Tipo, Fiat 500, and Ford Fiesta.
The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in March decreased 9.0% (54.5% share), gasoline-powered car sales decreased 3.9% (33.9% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 28.5% (3.5% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 81.7% (0.2% share).
Private car sales in March declined 14.8% to 107,107 units (49.9% share), fleet sales increased 5.1% to 65,772 units (30.6% share), and business sales increased 5.9% to 41,895 units (19.5% share).

On March 1, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 181,734 units in February decreased 1.4% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brand sales decreased 10.7% in February with a 26.6% market share, while foreign manufacturer sales increased 2.4% with a 73.4% market share.
In February, Fiat brand registrations decreased 16.9% (17.8% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 19.9% (8.9% share), Ford registrations decreased 0.9% (7.1% share), Peugeot registrations increased 12.6% (6.3% share), Renault registrations decreased 4.6% (5.4% share), and Citroen registrations increased 22.0% (5.1% share) from a year ago.

The foreign car distributors association (UNRAE) announced that diesel passenger car sales in February decreased 0.9% (56.3% share), gasoline-powered car sales decreased 5.4% (31.9% share), hybrid car (HV), plug-in hybrid car (PHEV) and REx combined sales increased 19.9% (3.5% share), and electric vehicle (EV) sales increased 105.0% (0.1% share).
Private car sales in February declined 13.0% to 92,430 units (50.5% share), fleet sales increased 18.9% to 54,216 units (29.6% share), and business sales increased 7.8% to 36,501 units (19.9% share).

Italian car sales rise 3.4% in January 2018
On February 1, the Italian automobile manufacturers association (ANFIA) announced that passenger car registrations of 177,822 units in January increased 3.4% over the same month in 2017.
Domestic brands in Italy showed an increase in sales of 0.6% in January with a 28.7% market share, while foreign manufacturers showed a 4.5% increase and a 71.3% market share.
In January, Fiat brand registrations decreased 7.9% (19.4% market share), Volkswagen brand registrations increased 0.8% (7.5% share), Ford registrations decreased 0.9% (7.0% share), Peugeot registrations increased 14.5% (6.1% share), Renault registrations decreased 5.0% (5.3% share), and Citroen registrations increased 21.4% (5.1% share) from a year ago.
The best-selling cars in January, in order of popularity, were the Fiat Panda, Fiat 500X, Ford Fiesta, Fiat 500, and Fiat Tipo.

Private car sales in January decreased 6.3% to 102,168 units (57.0% share), fleet sales increased 15.5% to 40,873 units (22.8% share), and business sales increased 25.7% to 36,126 units (20.2% share).
