Brazilian vehicle production up 9.7% exports down 1.3% in 2024 (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in December 2024 of 190,131 units represented a 10.8% increase from December 2023.
A total of 2,549,595 vehicles were produced in 2024, a 9.7% increase from 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in 2024, 1,894,966 were passenger cars; 485,628 were commercial vehicles; 141,252 were trucks, and 27,749 were buses.
Exports of 31,354 assembled vehicles in December represented a 22.1% increase from the units exported in December 2023.
Vehicle exports in 2024 totaled 398,484 units, a 1.3% decrease from 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in 2024, 295,666 were passenger cars; 80,106 were commercial vehicles; 17,890 were trucks, and 4,822 were buses.
A total of 11,485 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in 2024, comprised of 7,937 trucks, and 3,548 buses.

Brazil vehicle production up 16.5%, exports up 63.4% in November 2024 (ANFAVEA)
On December 12, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in November 2024 of 236,146 units represented an increase of 16.5% from November 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in November, 174,831 were passenger cars; 45,701 were commercial vehicles; 13,170 were trucks and 2,444 were buses.
Exports of 39,339 assembled vehicles in November represented a 63.4% increase from the units exported in November 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in November, 30,939 were passenger cars; 5,810 were commercial vehicles; 1,960 were trucks, and 630 buses.
A total of 692 CKD kits were exported in November, consisting of 505 trucks and 187 buses.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in October 2024 of 249,177 units represented an increase of 24.7% from October 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in October, 185,533 were passenger cars; 46,438 were commercial vehicles; 14,792 were trucks and 2,414 were buses.
Exports of 43,549 assembled vehicles in October represented a 39.2% increase from the units exported in October 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in October, 32,289 were passenger cars; 8,572 were commercial vehicles; 2,148 were trucks, and 540 buses.
A total of 1,281 CKD kits were exported in October, consisting of 857 trucks and 424 buses.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in September 2024 of 229,989 units represented an increase of 10.1% from September 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in September, 169,107 were passenger cars; 45,495 were commercial vehicles; 13,210 were trucks and 2,177 were buses.
Exports of 41,629 assembled vehicles in September represented a 51.7% increase from the units exported in September 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in September, 31,841 were passenger cars; 7,714 were commercial vehicles; 1,709 were trucks, and 365 buses.
A total of 902 CKD kits were exported in September, consisting of 549 trucks and 353 buses.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in August 2024 of 259,613 units represented an increase of 14.4% from August 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in August, 193,467 were passenger cars; 50,889 were commercial vehicles; 13,101 were trucks and 2,156 were buses.
Exports of 38,225 assembled vehicles in August represented a 10.6% increase from the units exported in August 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in August, 27,701 were passenger cars; 8,695 were commercial vehicles; 1,471 were trucks, and 358 buses.
A total of 1,132 CKD kits were exported in August, consisting of 825 trucks and 307 buses.

Of the vehicles produced in June, 158,981 were passenger cars; 37,179 were commercial vehicles; 12,236 were trucks and 2,639 were buses.
Exports of 28,957 assembled vehicles in June represented a 20.9% decrease from the units exported in June 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in June, 21,443 were passenger cars; 5,763 were commercial vehicles; 1,242 were trucks, and 509 buses.
A total of 1,068 CKD kits were exported in June, consisting of 724 trucks and 344 buses.
Vehicle exports in the six months of 2024 totaled 165,299 units, 28.3% down year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production down 26.8%, exports down 41.4% in May 2024 (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in May 2024 of 166,733 units represented a decrease of 26.8% from May 2023.
The growth rate of vehicle production was interrupted in May due to flooding in Rio Grande do Sul.
Of the vehicles produced in May, 129,197 were passenger cars; 23,633 were commercial vehicles; 11,172 were trucks and 2,731 were buses.
A total of 926,847 vehicles were produced in the five months of 2024, down 1.7% year-on-year.
Exports of 26,760 assembled vehicles in May represented a 41.4% decrease from the units exported in May 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in May, 19,985 were passenger cars; 5,176 were commercial vehicles; 1,288 were trucks, and 311 buses.
A total of 915 CKD kits were exported in May, consisting of 647 trucks and 268 buses.
Vehicle exports in the five months of 2024 totaled 136,342 units, 29.7% down year-on-year.

Of the vehicles produced in April, 167,402 were passenger cars; 40,249 were commercial vehicles; 11,656 were trucks and 2,808 were buses.
Exports of 27,334 assembled vehicles in April represented a 19.6% decrease from the units exported in April 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in April, 21,758 were passenger cars; 3,940 were commercial vehicles; 1,188 were trucks, and 448 buses.
A total of 1,186 CKD kits were exported in April, consisting of 768 trucks and 418 buses.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in March 2024 of 195,751 units represented a decrease of 11.8% from March 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in March, 143,419 were passenger cars; 38,482 were commercial vehicles; 11,224 were trucks and 2,626 were buses.
A total of 537,999 vehicles were produced in the three months of 2024, up 0.4% year-on-year.
Exports of 32,706 assembled vehicles in March represented a 28.0% decrease from the units exported in March 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in March, 23,176 were passenger cars; 7,758 were commercial vehicles; 1,368 were trucks, and 404 buses.
A total of 1,023 CKD kits were exported in March, consisting of 677 trucks and 346 buses.
Vehicle exports in the three months of 2024 totaled 82,248 units, 28.0% down year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production up 17.4%, exports down 14.1% in February 2024 (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in February 2024 of 189,684 units represented an increase of 17.4% from February 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in February, 140,688 were passenger cars; 36,566 were commercial vehicles; 10,126 were trucks and 2,268 were buses.
A total of 342,248 vehicles were produced in the two months of 2024, up 8.9% year-on-year.
Exports of 30,652 assembled vehicles in February represented a 14.1% decrease from the units exported in February 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in February, 21,527 were passenger cars; 7,439 were commercial vehicles; 1,329 were trucks, and 357 buses.
A total of 933 CKD kits were exported in February, consisting of 667 trucks and 266 buses.
Vehicle exports in the two months of 2024 totaled 49,489 units, 28.0% down year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production down 0.1%, exports down 43.0% in January (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in January 2024 of 152,564 units represented a decrease of 0.1% from January 2023.
Of the vehicles produced in January, 117,025 were passenger cars; 26,002 were commercial vehicles; 7,941 were trucks and 1,596 were buses.
Exports of 18,837 assembled vehicles in January represented a 43.0% decrease from the units exported in January 2023.
Of the vehicles exported in January, 14,599 were passenger cars; 3,500 were commercial vehicles; 625 were trucks, and 113 buses.
A total of 577 CKD kits were exported in January, consisting of 432 trucks and 145 buses.
