PSA's diesel hybrid model and Fiat's new Panda unveiled

Summary

 The IAA 64 Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 was held at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany from September 15th to 25th, 2011 (press days were on September 13th and 14th). The exhibition report has been broken down into three reports and this is the second report. This report covers: France-based PSA and Renault, Italy-based Fiat, and Korea-based Hyundai Group. The third report will cover Japanese and U.S. OEMs.

 At the exhibition, PSA featured the world's first diesel hybrid system, the HYbrid4, under the Peugeot brand. Under the Citroen brand, it drew attraction to its DS line-up which is its high-end model brand. Renault showcased models such as its light commercial vehicle EV concept.

 Fiat and Kia, which is under the umbrella of the Hyundai Group, each unveiled its compact car, the Fiat Panda and Kia Rio (3-door model), respectively. Under the Hyundai brand, the 2nd-generation model of the i30 C-segment car, which supported the remarkable success of the brand in Europe, was unveiled.
