SAE International’s WCX 2026 conference took place at the Huntington Place convention center in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. from April 14 through April 16, 2026. WCX 2026 featured hundreds of technical sessions, over 80 exhibitors, three keynote speakers, and two days of panel discussions.
The keynote and panel sessions at WCX 2026 showcased perspectives on a variety of topics. One keynote showed the results of a pilot program between Honda and DriveOhio to use sensor-equipped vehicles to support roadway maintenance and improve roadway safety. One panel session discussed the ecosystem and deployment considerations of robotaxis, focusing specifically on Waymo. Another session featured representatives across a variety of companies and organizations discussing sustainability.
