Summary
Thailand's 47th Bangkok International Motor Show (47th BIMS / BIMS 2026) was held from March 25 to April 5, 2026, under the theme “The Iconic Synchronicity.” Press and VIP days were held earlier on March 23 for automotive brands and March 24 for motorcycle brands.
International automotive brands participating in the show included Japanese brands including Toyota and Lexus, Mazda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Honda, and Suzuki; as well as other global marques (excluding Chinese and Japanese brands) such as Audi, BMW and MINI, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, Ford, Jeep, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Aston Martin, Maserati, Volvo Cars, Hyundai, and Kia. Two-wheeler brands included Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, Triumph, and BMW Motorrad.
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ, Toyota Meridian Concept, Toyota Legendary Concept, Isuzu D-Max EV, Mazda6e, Mazda CX-6e, Honda e:N2, Honda Super BEV Concept, Suzuki e VITARA, Ford Ranger Super Duty, Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+, BMW iX3 Neue Klasse, Volvo ES90, were among the key models on display. The event concluded with strong results, recording 132,951 vehicle bookings and 2,056 motorcycle bookings, alongside 1,798,312 total visitors. Vehicle bookings rose 71.8% from 77,379 units in 2025. BYD led the booking rankings with 17,354 units, followed by Toyota with 15,750 and OMODA & JAECOO with 15,088. MG recorded 10,537 bookings, while Deepal + Nevo achieved 8,573. Geely followed with 7,811, Chery with 7,509, GWM with 6,819, GAC with 6,287, and Honda rounding out the top 10 with 5,907.
Grand Prix International, the organizer, noted that despite global economic pressures and energy market volatility, the show maintained strong momentum and visitor engagement, reflecting sustained consumer confidence and resilience in Thailand's automotive market.
