Summary

  The 32nd Annual China Society of Automotive Engineers Congress and Exhibition (SAECCE 2025) was held in Chongqing from October 21 to 24, 2025. In addition to the opening ceremony and plenary session, five main forums and 100 thematic conferences and technical seminars were held. There was also a technology exhibition at the same time, with more than 200 companies and brands exhibiting. The exhibition covered approximately 25,000 square meters and was attended by over 10,000 representatives from more than 30 countries.

  This report presents excerpts from guest speakers from BYD, Xiaomi Auto, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences who spoke at the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) Technology thematic session and the NEV Main Forum. BYD introduced the trend toward higher voltages for NEVs and the associated needs for motor systems. Xiaomi Auto introduced its CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery pack development technology as well as its future plans. Dr. Minggao OUYANG, Academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a presentation on the solid-state battery technology roadmaps among Chinese companies and the commercialization path of fuel cell heavy-duty trucks.
