Summary

The 2025 China Auto Forum was held in July in the Jiading District, Shanghai. Hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the event was themed "Enhance Quality, Embrace Innovation, and Win the Future with Intelligence” and consisted of a closed-door conference, convention forum, technology leadership summit, thematic presentation sessions and thematic events. At each conference, panel discussions and exchanges of opinions took place on key points and important themes in the automotive industry.

This report covers some of the intelligent driving-related topics presented by guest speakers from Horizon Robotics (Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd.) and Huawei (Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.) at the conference forum, the 7th Global Auto Technology Leadership Summit, and the thematic presentation sessions.

Horizon primarily described its views on the latest trends in the intelligent driving industry and its innovative research findings. Huawei mainly introduced the current state of intelligent driving development, trends, and its Level 3/Level 4 (L3/L4) commercialization plans. The company also reported that in September 2025 it plans to announce a commercial solution on expressways for its L3 technology architecture.
