Summary
The social implementation of Level 4 autonomous driving (hereinafter referred to as L4) for commercial vehicles is being accelerated, with a target deployment date of 2027, to address the immediate issue of stagnation in logistics and human transportation. For this reason, external support is being received from various sectors, not only for technology development but also for infrastructure construction and the provision of evaluation facilities.
This report outlines the current state of external support, primarily from the public, as well as the latest technologies, notably L4 commercial vehicles that have been in demonstration / commercial operation services since the beginning of this year.
