The Automotive Engineering Exposition 2025 was held at Pacifico Yokohama convention and exhibition center from May 21 (Wed.) to May 23 (Fri.), 2025. According to an announcement by the organizer, the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), a record number of 617 exhibitors and 79,808 registered visitors attended the three-day event. The exhibition was held in two halls, the Exhibition Hall and the North Hall, with automakers exhibiting mainly in the North Hall.
Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota), Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda), and Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) were prominent in exhibiting their efforts related to carbon neutrality, which promotes the use of recycled materials. In addition, Mazda exhibited a PHEV version of its new mid-size crossover SUV "CX-80” to be released in October 2024, Subaru Corporation (Subaru) exhibited the new Subaru Forester X-BREAK S:HEV EX released in Japan in April 2025, Honda exhibited next-generation technologies to be used in the Honda 0 series, and Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki) exhibited Suzuki's exhibit on demonstration testing for the development of BEV mini-trucks (<660cc) attracted the attention of event participants.
This report introduces the exhibits of Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Mazda, and Suzuki at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2025 (JSAE 2025 in Yokohama).
