Summary
The International Congress for Electronics in Vehicles (ELIV 2024) was held on October 16 and 17, 2024, at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany. This congress is one of the most important events of its kind, discussing strategies and technical innovations, promoting exchanges, and fostering partnerships among suppliers, manufacturers, researchers, and developers involved in the automotive industry.
This year’s edition marks the first time that the event has been held annually, in order to accompany the fast-paced developments in the sector.
A total of 85 exhibitors were present at the site, and 96 seminars took place during the event, covering AI Automotive, Digital Homologation, Software for the SDV, Processes, Cockpit & Customer Experience, E-Vehicle Mobility, Automated Driving, Mobility System Architecture, Electronics Technologies, Open Source Software, Cloud & Connect, and Security.
In addition to the seminars, an exhibition area for suppliers to showcase products, introduce technologies and promote networking was also present at the venue.
This year's venue features the “Lightning Talks”, which enabled 20 speakers to showcase innovative ideas, products, or insights in the automotive electronics in a two-minute presentation on the Main Stage of the event. Also featured was the “NextGen Program”, which was designed to support young professionals to exchange ideas and to build a network. The number of attendees of this year's edition of ELIV 2024 was around 1,000.
