Summary
The Automotive Interiors Expo Europe is an annual three-day event organized by UKi Media & Events, a division of UKIP Media & Events Ltd. The event took place at the Messe venue in Stuttgart, Germany from November 12th to 14th. Due to the missing co-located fairs like in the previous years, the number of visitors seemed to be less. Also the number of booths decreased from 140 last year to 129 this year.
Latest innovations in the field of vehicle interior design, sustainability, occupant comfort, UX, functionality and ergonomics could be explored at the exhibition, which was mainly visited by designers, engineers and procurement managers from OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
The visitors were also offered the opportunity to attend a total of 32 interior trend and technology presentations.
New features at this year’s show were the “New Product Zone” and the “Reutlingen University VR Zone”.
The “New Product Zone” showcased cutting-edge innovations that have been specifically designed for functionality, aesthetic appeal, compatibility, and the overall passenger experience.
At the Reutlingen University VR Zone visitors could experience how the university is using VR in the development process.
As last year, many companies presented their sustainable materials for environmentally friendly car interiors. The reusage, remanufacturing and recycling of materials was also a major topic.
In this report, we would like to highlight some product novelties and a summary of selected presentations at the show.
Next year the show will be held in Stuttgart again from November 11th to 13th.
