  The 2024 China Auto Software Conference, jointly organized by the CAAM(China Association of Automobile Manufacturers) and the Jiading · Shanghai International Automobile City, was held November 7 and 8 in Jiading District, Shanghai. The main theme of the conference was "Leading the Future, with Software Intelligence, Creating an Ecosystem with Integration," and one exclusive conference, one convention forum, and six thematic forums were set up to discuss six areas: AI intelligence, autonomous driving, infrastructure software, smart cockpits, low-altitude economies (economic activities in low-altitude areas), and the convergence of innovation across industries. The purpose of the conference was to promote leaps in innovation and widespread application of automotive software technology, and to drive the digital and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry. The focus of the conference was on cutting-edge technologies in the field of automotive software, the establishment of safety standards, software/hardware integration, and cross-industry collaboration and development.

  Mr. Minqiang TAN, Chairman of the CAAM Software Subcommittee, CEO of China Automotive Innovation Corporation (CAIC) and Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced the current status and development trend of China's automotive software and pointed out that the intelligent car software ecosystem can be better built through open source. Mr. Bin CAO, General Manager of Software Architecture Engineering at Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (Changan Automobile), introduced the company's thoughts on the transformation path of automotive intelligence in the context of SDVs (software defined vehicles).
