Summary

The Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024 was held for three days from May 22 (Wednesday) to May 24 (Friday), 2024, at the Pacifico Yokohama convention and exhibition center. According to an announcement by the organizer, the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. (JSAE), the event included 590 companies with 1,378 booths, and attracted 75,952 visitors, an increase of more than 12,000 visitors from last year.

The theme of this year's event was "Let's gather our wisdom! Towards a carbon neutral, recycling-oriented society," and at the Yokohama venue, technological developments were introduced under the theme of "Let's realize a sustainable recycling-oriented society through “technological evolution" and "new value standards!"

This report focuses on core electrification-related technologies such as storage batteries, battery packs and modules, battery life extension and safety, and charging systems.
