  On January 16, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (Changan Automobile) held the 2024 Changan Auto Global Partnership Conference in Chongqing, China. At this event, Changan and its partners shared a review of business status and results, as well as outlook and strategies. This report is a brief summary of the presentations given at this year's conference.

  Chairman Huarong ZHU announced that the number of vehicles sold by Changan Automobile 2023 grew by 8.8% year-over-year (y/y) to 2,553,000 units. Of this total, sales of its own-brand models were up 11.9% y/y to 2,098,000 units, while sales of NEVs (New Energy Vehicles: Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrids (PHVs) and Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs)) were up 69.2% y/y to 481,000 units. Sales outside China were up 43.9% y/y to 358,000 units.

  Changan Automobile set forth its "215" Partnership Action, and it will adhere to its "two Major Improvements (growth of both NEVs and conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles / growth of both the domestic and international markets)". The company will update "One Major Relationship (partnership relationship)" and realize "Five New Leaps (strategy driven / optimizing product deployment /strengthening innovation / building industrial ecosystems / facilitating user management)”. The sales target for 2024 is 2.8 million units, and 5 million units in 2030.
