Activities of the Next Generation Automotive Center of Shizuoka prefecture’s Hamamatsu Agency for Innovation

The largest industry in Shizuoka Prefecture is transportation equipment. In particular, the city of Hamamatsu City has the largest population and the largest value of manufactured goods shipped in the prefecture, and when combined by the neighboring cities of Iwata and Kosai forms an automotive industry area. Against this background, the Next Generation Automotive Center of Shizuoka prefecture’s Hamamatsu Agency for Innovation has carried out activities to guide companies in the prefecture in developing products for the automotive industry of the future. Following the teardown analysis of Nissan Leaf conducted in 2019, this teardown analysis was conducted to introduce the BMW C evolution, which is the most advanced two-wheeler EV, with the aim of better understanding future vehicle electrification technology and to enable participating local companies to submit new product business proposals to OEMs and Tier 1 parts suppliers.
