Summary
This report summarizes the vehicles and technologies that were exhibited by Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Suzuki Motor Corporation at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015.
Honda exhibited the Clarity Fuel Cell, a production fuel cell vehicle (FCV), and the new NSX super sports car, which are slated for launch in 2016. Honda also exhibited the S660 (launched in April 2015) as well as the Civic Type R and Odyssey Hybrid, which are slated for release soon.
Suzuki exhibited four concept cars: the Air Triser, Mighty Deck, Ignis, and Ignis-Trail Concept. These models were designed for use in urban areas, leisure and other situations. Among the planned production models, Suzuki exhibited the Baleno, which is to be exported from India, and the new Escudo compact SUV, which is to be exported from Hungary. Suzuki also introduced a cutaway of a new hybrid system. The new hybrid system, which is under development, allows electric-only propulsion.
