Reported below is feature availability on new models released for sale in Japan by Japanese OEMs from July 2014 to July 2015. 18 new and fully redesigned models and two face-lifted models (excluding mini vehicles) are reported: five each under the Toyota and Honda brand, three each under Mazda and Subaru, two under Lexus, and one each under Nissan and Suzuki. Features that have been increasingly adopted include the torque vectoring systems, pop-up hoods, automatic emergency brakes with preceding vehicle and pedestrian detection, panoramic view monitors, automatic high beams and telematics systems.
