According to LMC Automotive's sales forecast (Quarter 1, 2019), global light vehicle sales in 2019 will be 95.0 million units, and 100.6 million units in 2021. While sales in China in 2021 are expected to exceed 30 million units, US and Japanese sales are expected to fall slightly below 17 million and 5 million units respectively as they approach 2021. The market for major western European countries such as Germany, UK and France is expected to remain flat for the time being.
