                            Summary
- The global Light Vehicle (LV) selling rate fell to 80.7 mn units/year in February, from an already poor 82.3 mn units/year in January. In YoY terms, sales improved by 12.4% year-on-year (YoY), though this figure is distorted due to the low base caused by the pandemic already spreading in parts of Asia a year ago.
 - In China and elsewhere, the global shortage of semiconductors, on top of a resurgence in the pandemic, has damaged sales activity. While in the US, sales performance was also disappointing, with the freezing weather that shut down the Texan market for a period having an impact.
