- Global Light Vehicle (LV) sales fell 6.4% in year-on-year (YoY) terms in June, though the selling rate increased to 91.7 mn units/year, from 90.2 mn units/year in May.
- The increase in the Global selling rate can largely be attributed to a substantial month-on-month acceleration in China. In YoY terms, sales volumes continued to fall, both in China and elsewhere, but this was partly a result of calendar effects. China aside, there is little in the way of encouragement from other regions, and Global sales are still well down on the levels seen in 2016 and 2017.
