Trump restructures steel, aluminum, copper tariffs; keeps 50% rate
On April 2, U.S. President Trump signed a proclamation to strengthen tariffs imposed on imported steel, aluminum, and copper to more effectively address national-security threats.
The changes will maintain 50% tariffs on many imported steel, aluminum and copper products, even as it moves to simplify duties for goods
