Four Japanese OEMs announce Chinese sales figures for February 2022

Four Japanese OEMs announced their sales results in China for February 2022.
Toyota sold 128,500 units in February in China, reflecting a 9.5% year-over-year (y/y) increase. Year-to-date (YTD) sales from January to February totaled 277,300 units, reflecting a 9.7% y/y decline.
On March 3, Honda announced that its February sales reached 106,084 units, reflecting a y/y increase of 30.1%. YTD sales totaled 252,725 units, reflecting a 5.7% y/y increase. YTD sales of models equipped with the SPORT HYBRID, a highly efficient dual-motor hybrid power system, totaled 36,297 units, up by 9.9% y/y.
On March 3, Nissan announced that it sold 77,494 units in February, reflecting a 2.5% y/y increase in sales. YTD sales totaled 210,961 units, reflecting a 4.9% y/y decrease. By model, sales of the 7th-generation Altima sedan, the Sylphy series, the Nissan Qashqai, the Venucia series, and the Dongfeng Rich pickup truck series increased in February.
On March 4, Mazda announced that sales in February were 8,047 units, reflecting a 23.8% y/y decrease. YTD sales totaled 27,245 units, reflecting a 12.7% y/y decline.
